South Macon-Bibb County has a rich history of supporting its libraries, but when demand exceeded capacity of the Rocky Creek Branch location, a new 15,595 SF facility was constructed to provide Adult and Children’s services, browsing, and staff work spaces. In addition to traditional book stacks, there is also a significant infrastructure for computer technology throughout the building.
The Children’s area provides ample open space for Story Hour programs and other activities. The Adult area features fiction and non-fiction collections, reference, browsing, and a separate reading area for newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals.
