Project Overview

Macon-Bibb County Health Department relocated to this 18,800 square foot former orthopedic group campus after decades in their former facility. Utilizing Community Development Block Grant funding and a local match, this facility was reimagined to optimize public health services.

A lobby and circulation core creates an inviting atmosphere upon arrival to the facility. Departments use unique colors as wayfinding assistance to and through their waiting, sub-waiting and exam spaces. A separate building on campus houses the Environmental Health, Teen Center, and Records functions in what was once an orthopedic surgical center.
