The Jeff Davis County Courthouse was constructed in 1907 in the neoclassical revival style. The building features an ornate clock tower and large, arched entrances. At less than 10,000 square feet, the courthouse did not provide adequate space for modern court functions.
A two-story, 24,000 square foot addition was built in 1995. The sensitively designed addition features many elements of the original building architecture, including projected corner bays, matching cornices, and a repetition of the distinctive arches.
