Project Overview

The historic Romanesque Revival Twiggs County Courthouse (built ca. 1904) housed offices on the first floor and a courtroom on the second.  The building features a prominent clock tower, flanked by hipped-roof wings to either side.

To accommodate court needs and county offices, a new 21,000 square foot addition was constructed in 2002, tripling the building footprint.  With detailing to match the original building, the new addition fits seamlessly with the original courthouse.
